Served Document Manager™ - Document Viewer
The Document Viewer is where you review, classify, and route the documents inside an Intake Event. The full Intake Event file appears on the right, and a panel on the left lets you navigate between documents, manage the reviewer assignment, and track the routing actions you've applied. This is the screen you'll open whenever an Intake Event needs a closer look before it goes out.
Three buttons sit at the top left of the page:
- Finalize: routes every document in the Intake Event. You can only click this once every document has an action assigned.
- Save Draft: saves your in-progress changes without routing anything, so you can come back later.
- Close: exits the viewer and returns you to the Intake Events page.
Document Viewer: Left Panel
The top of the left panel shows the key details for the Intake Event:
- Intake Event ID, total document count, and document breakdown.
- A download icon to save the full Intake Event as a single PDF.
- The reviewer's name, plus a Reassign link to hand it to someone else if needed.
- Date and time received.
- Source and source details.
Below that, the panel has two tabs: Table of Contents and Thumbnails.
Table of Contents
The Table of Contents lists every document the system identified within the Intake Event file. Each row shows:
- A document icon, click it to open that document in the right-side viewer
- The page range.
- The document type and subtype.
- A color bar on the left; each document has its own color, and that color carries through to the Thumbnails and the right-side viewer so you can tell documents apart at a glance.
- An action badge, once you've assigned an action.
If the Intake Event has supporting documents attached, a Supporting Documents section appears below the main list, separated by a divider. Each one shows as a link that opens the file in the right-side viewer. This section only appears when supporting documents exist.
After you select Finalize, a download button appears next to each individual document in the Table of Contents, letting you save any one of them as a standalone PDF.
Thumbnails
The Thumbnails tab shows a page-level preview of every page in the Intake Event file, grouped by document. Click any thumbnail to jump straight to that page in the right-side viewer — the page you're currently viewing is outlined in green. You can also split documents from this view; see SDM - Document Viewer Actions for more information.
