Reports - Creating Custom Reports

Find Your Custom Reports

The Reports List shows all reports--both Safari's "Standard" reports and your custom reports.  The Standard reports are shown first (alphabetically), and then your custom reports (alphabetically).

Save a New Custom Report

Currently, you can only save reports for yourself.  You cannot save reports for other users.
  1. Open any report (whether a Standard or Custom report)
  2. Make edits, such as applying filters, selecting fields, etc.
  3. Click Save as Custom Report, enter a unique name, and click  SAVE .
Edit an Existing Custom Report
  1. Open the custom report
  2. Make edits, such as applying filters, selecting fields, etc.
  3. Click  SAVE .

Deleting Reports

To delete a Custom report, go to the Reports List, and click the red trash can to the right of the report.  You cannot delete Safari's Standard reports.

Add or Remove Fields

At the top right above the report, click the "Fields" icon to access a list of the fields.  Use the checkboxes to add or remove fields.
TIP:  Safari has many fields.  Rather than scrolling through the entire list, sometimes it is easier to use the search magnifying glass to quickly find the field you want to add or remove.  For a list of all fields in the system, see the help topic about picking a report type.

Reorder Data/Columns

Safari offers you two options for reordering the columns of data.  If you're editing the fields of data to include in a report, click-and-hold your mouse on the "grip tape," and then move the field up or down:

Or, if you are viewing the report table, click-and-hold your mouse on the column name, drag the column to where you want it to be, and then release your mouse.

Sort Data by a Column

Place your cursor over a column header, and to the right of the column name you'll see an up or down arrow.  Click the arrow to change the sorting in the table by that column.  Click the arrow again to change the sort direction.

Filter Data

Click on the column name (which has the same effect as clicking on the "gear" icon in the header).  This activates a standard filter similar to Excel.

TIP:  If the field is a date field and you want to apply date range filters, you must first click the "Dates" button, and then you will be given a series of options to apply date filters.
