SecureShare - Action Alerts
Portal Action Alerts
Three events generate an action alert in Safari:
- You sent the login credentials via email and Safari receives an email bounce back for the Issuer email address.
- You sent the login credentials via fax and Safari doesn't receive a fax confirmation from the Issuer's fax machine*.
- The portal expired without the Issuer accessing the portal.
*Note about faxes: If the fax machine is busy, Safari will try for three times. If the fax machine remains busy, it will treat the communication as failed, and trigger a failure alert for you.
Where to View Action Alerts
Action Alert Dashboard: You can see all action alerts on the Action Alerts page (left side menu on the main Safari page). The default view on the Dashboard is "My Alerts," but you can also change the view to All Alerts to see all alerts for all Responses to which you have access.
Response Status Area: If you are in a Matter, the alert appears in red text below the reviewer.
How to resolve the alert
- Incorrect Email or Fax Number: If the fax or email address is incorrect, correct the information, and re-open the portal (i.e., in Delivery Setup, check the box for DELIVERY SETUP COMPLETE and click SAVE ).
- Correct Fax Number but Fax Busy: If the fax number is correct but the fax machine was busy, try again by re-opening the portal.
- Portal Expires Unaccessed: You'll either need to mark the Status as "Closed - Issuer Abandoned," or to re-open the portal. To re-open the portal, change the Status to Delivery Setup, check the box for DELIVERY SETUP COMPLETE and click SAVE ). TIP: Most users mark the matter as Closed - Issuer Abandoned, and if the Issuer actually wants the documents they will follow up, at which point you can reopen the portal.
