Action Alerts
Safari generates the following action alerts for Correspondence delivery failures:
- You sent a fax and Safari doesn't receive a fax confirmation from the Issuer
- You sent an email and Safari receives an email bounce-back for the Recipient email address (not applicable to CC addresses)
Note about faxes: If the fax machine is busy, Safari tries for three times. If the fax machine remains busy, Safari treats the communication as failed, and triggers a failure alert.
Where to View Action Alerts
Action Alert Dashboard: All action alerts appear on the Action Alerts page (left side menu on the main Safari page). The default view on the Dashboard is "My Alerts," but you can also change the view to All Alerts to see all alerts for all Responses to which you have access.
Response Status Area: If you are in a Response and there is a fax or email failure, the alert appears in red text below the reviewer:
Correspondence Listing: The Correspondence folder shows a list of all Correspondence and attachments. If a Correspondence fails, you'll see a FAILURE alert.
How to Resolve the Alert
Failed correspondence alerts can only be cleared by Resending or Deleting the failed correspondence. To do either, hover over the right-side margin of the failed Correspondence to reveal the ellipsis menu.
To Resend: Click Resend, correct the email address or fax number if needed, and click Send. Safari will retain the original failed correspondence for audit history — this record may be legally important and does not need to be deleted
To Delete: Click Delete and confirm. Note that deleting the failed correspondence will permanently remove it from the record.
NOTE: A future release will add functionality to clear the alert without resending or deleting.
Can't get the email to go through? If the original correspondence was sent via email and you're unable to reach the recipient that way, consider resending as a fax instead (if the recipient has a fax number on file).
